Both platforms are freemium. Netlify recently introduced new Pro plan tiers (July 2026) with increased headroom, a lower per-credit rate, and predictable billing. This suggests a credit-based consumption model beyond the free tier, suitable for scaling AI workloads. Replit Cloud also announced lower prices across deployment, storage, and data transfer starting August 1, 2026, applying automatically to published projects. Additionally, Replit Pro plans now offer more flexibility with tier switching and billing cadence changes from settings. For heavy usage, Netlify's credits may be more predictable for production deployments, while Replit's reduced rates benefit rapid prototyping and educational use. Both offer free tiers to start, but Replit's all-in-one environment may be more cost-effective for small projects, whereas Netlify's edge network and database features justify its credit model for professional sites.
