The confidence-based escalation to human experts (via Slack or Zendesk) adds a safety net for borderline queries. Where Dokko falls short is for casual use. If you only need quick Q&A over a handful of simple PDFs, ChatGPT or NotebookLM is faster and cheaper. Dokko's metered pricing—pages, tokens, tool actions—requires planning; you can't just ask unlimited questions without watching the budget. The Skills and Agents features are still in early access, so production workflows may hit rough edges. Compared to Glean, Dokko focuses on document depth rather than search breadth. Glean indexes your SaaS apps; Dokko reads the documents themselves. If your knowledge lives in long-form documents rather than scattered tools, Dokko is the better fit. In practice, we'd recommend starting with a starter plan and importing a subset of documents to test retrieval quality and cost behavior before scaling to thousands of pages. The overage controls are well-designed, but becoming comfortable with the usage model takes time.
