For source-sensitive research, health or legal questions, or anyone who simply doesn't want another account, that plumbing is the product. Strengths beyond privacy: it's genuinely free with no upgrade nag, it covers web, mobile app, and browser extension, and the interface now exposes more than text chat — the launch build includes image creation and editing and a dedicated voice chat mode, so the 'text only' framing from earlier coverage is out of date. Model selection in one place also lets you switch when one model's answer stalls, which is a cheap way to sanity-check a response. Weaknesses are structural. This is a chat interface, not a platform: no shared team workspace, no persistent project memory, no plugin or fine-tuning layer. That makes it a poor home for work you intend to build on or collaborate in. It's also a second-order dependency — the capability ceiling moves whenever the underlying model providers ship something new, which cuts both ways: you get the upgrades for free, but you also don't control the roadmap.
