Egregore is a compelling experiment in AI-native team memory, but it's only useful if your team already lives inside Claude Code. The CLI-only flow and lack of non-Technical GUI limit its reach beyond early-adopter dev shops.

How we score →Egregore is a shared cognition platform that turns the traces of team work into persistent collective memory. It records decisions, patterns, and handoffs from every session, building institutional knowledge that both humans and AI agents can access and build upon. The platform integrates directly with Claude Code, enabling teams to use slash commands like /invite, /handoff, /save, /activity, and /deep-reflect to collaborate in real time. Egregore is designed for development teams and organizations that want to move beyond individual chat threads and static documentation. By capturing context graphs—including reasoning, trade-offs, and open threads—handoffs become atomic units of AI-native coordination. This allows new team members (human or AI) to ramp up instantly and reduces repetitive context-setting. What sets Egregore apart is its focus on multi-agent continuity and deep pattern recognition. It not only persists context across sessions but also surfaces patterns in how the team operates, where convergence is happening, and where coordination infrastructure can evolve. The tool is meant to be used from the command line, embedded in existing workflows like Git and GitHub, rather than requiring a separate dashboard. Egregore appears to be in early access or beta, with a website that showcases detailed walkthroughs but no clear pricing page or sign-up flow beyond an npm command. It is built for teams already using Claude Code and emphasizes that 'every session leaves a trace.' There is no public pricing; early access is free via npx create-egregore@latest, with enterprise inquiries directed to info@egregore.xyz.
Egregore solves a real pain: the knowledge that evaporates between AI-assisted coding sessions. Its core insight—that handoffs should carry reasoning, not just state—is smart. The /deep-reflect command, which spawns multiple agents to analyze past decisions and uncover hidden disagreements, is genuinely impressive. For a team already using Claude Code daily, Egregore could eliminate a lot of repetitive context-setting. But here's the rub: it's only for Claude Code users. If you use Copilot, Cursor, or plain ChatGPT, Egregore doesn't integrate. It's also entirely CLI-based—no web dashboard, no visual graph explorer. Non-technical stakeholders won't touch it. And there's no published pricing beyond 'email us for enterprise,' which makes budgeting uncertain. Compared to tools like Linear's AI or Notion AI, Egregore is far more deep but far narrower. Linear captures project status; Egregore captures the reasoning that led to decisions. Both have value, but Egregore's value compounds only with consistent use across the whole team. Real-world caveat: early access means bugs and breaking changes. The website shows polished examples, but the npm package may not be stable for production. Teams that adopt now should expect to iterate with the developers. Bottom line: if you're a Claude Code shop frustrated by lost context, try it. Otherwise, wait until broader integrations arrive.
