RaoMusic is best understood as a music studio with a shopping cart attached, not a single generator with a paywall. The homepage flow is deliberately simple — type a prompt, get a track — but the product underneath is a set of tools: text to music, lyrics to song, instrumental and background music, sound effects, AI covers with custom RVC model URLs, a vocal remover, a stem separator, MIDI export, and a Loop MV maker. The engine shelf is the commercial argument. RaoMusic's own October 2026 blog post compares Suno and ElevenLabs Music on identical prompts and notes that both are available in one RaoMusic account with separate generation pages. That means one login, one credit balance, and one license story covers whichever model happens to produce the take you want. It also means RaoMusic is exposed to those vendors' pricing, which is why cost per generation varies so widely — the pricing page states other models cost between 10 and 80 credits per run, and some are priced by length. Strengths: the license is unconditional and doesn't require a subscription — every plan, including the free one, includes a royalty-free commercial license, and subscribers get a certificate PDF for clearance paperwork. Failed generations are refunded automatically. One-time credit packs valid for a year mean you can buy credits for a single project and walk away. Subscribers get unlimited use of the standalone tools (vocal remover, audio to MIDI, Loop MV), which is where the recurring price starts to justify itself if you also need cleanup work. Weaknesses worth naming up front. Credits on subscriptions do not roll over — the pricing FAQ says unused subscription credits expire at the next monthly refill. One-time pack credits last a year and then lapse. Refunds within 7 days are pro-rated by credits used and deduct a 3.9% + $0.50 transaction fee plus a $1.00 handling fee, and free, promotional, and gift-card credits are never refundable. Cloud storage is tiered (500 MB free, 2 GB on a pack, 5/20/50 GB on subscriptions), and the seed notes paid-plan files are kept for 90 days, so long-term archiving is on you. Free monthly credits are capped at 50 and only top up if your balance is below 50 on your first signed-in visit after the 1st of the month, and they're excluded in some regions or when a signup is flagged. Where it fits: solo creators, podcasters, and small marketing teams who need a handful of cleared tracks a month and value being able to switch engines. Where it doesn't: anyone who needs DAW-level multitrack control, or a team needing automated generation inside their own product — the docs pages weren't reachable on this pass, so treat automation as unverified. Bottom line: start free, run the same prompt across two or three engines, and only move to Starter at $9/mo if you're generating more than roughly 50 default-model runs a month.
