Startup Skill isn't another AI hype generator. It's built to fail you — and that's its superpower. Most validation tools, even the ones that claim to be honest, end up sugarcoating because they're designed to keep you engaged. This one deliberately tunes its scoring to reject ideas. If you get a GO, it means your idea survived an adversarial process. That matters. The output is also unusually solid: 30+ files covering everything from Lean Canvas to competitor battle cards to financial projections, with every claim confidence-tagged. You can hand these to co-founders or investors without embarrassment. But there's a real barrier: you need Claude Code. That's a CLI-based tool with its own learning curve. If you're a non-technical founder or prefer GUI tools, this isn't accessible. There's no web interface, no collaborative workspace, no export to Google Docs. Also, the tool runs inside Anthropic's ecosystem — you need a Claude subscription (Pro or Team) and some API comfort. Compared to alternatives like Validation Board or Lean Stack, Startup Skill is far more automated and honest, but less accessible. For a technical founder with a raw idea, it's the fastest way to get a brutally honest second opinion. For everyone else, it's a non-starter until someone wraps it in a friendly UI.
