Tailride does one thing beautifully: pluck invoices from your inbox without making you forward them to a sketchy address. Once you connect Gmail or Outlook, it scans incoming mail and retroactively hunts for past invoices by month, quarter, or year. The AI extraction handles PDFs, images, text, and even links—so that Amazon invoice that's just a URL? Caught. The Chrome extension is a clever way to grab invoices from supplier portals without handing over credentials. Reconciliation against bank statements (CSV or PDF) and export to QuickBooks, Xero, Google Drive/Sheets, DATEV round out the workflow. Where it bites: the credit system. Each invoice costs one credit, and the free tier gives you only 10 a month. The €12 Starter plan works for a solo freelancer (900 credits/year), but teams processing a few hundred invoices a month need at least the €60 Scale (9,000 credits/year). There's no API, no ERP connectors (SAP, Oracle), and no real multi‑currency support beyond invoice‑to‑bank currency conversion. Compared to Dext or Hubdoc, Tailride's inbox monitoring is far less manual, but those tools have broader accounting integrations and OCR for receipts in more languages. For a small business that hates invoice chasing, Tailride is a time-saver. For an enterprise with complex ERP needs, it's a pass.
