The downside: there's no desktop or web version, so you're tied to the mobile app. Also, export options aren't robust—you can own and delete your data, but interoperability with other tools is minimal. For someone new to journaling or seeking therapeutic guidance, Untold is a great start. But if you need a cross-platform or API-friendly solution, look elsewhere. Compared to Day One or Journey, Untold is less about capture and more about reflection, with heavier AI curation.
