What kinds of changes are recorded?▾
Everything our pipelines track on a listing: pricing model and pricing details, hidden costs on record, listing status and website health, dead links found on your site, the viability score and its signals, the editorial verdict, GitHub stars and review counts, and the product description fields (tagline, features, integrations, models, limitations, platforms, API availability, setup time). Anything the tracker learns to record later lands in the report too — it never silently drops a change it cannot name.
When do the reports arrive?▾
On the 1st and the 15th of each month (UTC), covering every change since the previous boundary. The periods tile exactly, so nothing is double-reported and nothing falls between two reports. A quiet fortnight says so plainly: "no changes recorded" is itself the report.
Where does the data come from?▾
From the same change record that already powers your public page. A spec pipeline re-scrapes pricing, plans, limits and features across the catalogue every ten minutes; changelogs and blogs are re-read in hourly rotation; community sentiment is refreshed three times a day; link health runs every two hours; the viability signal is recomputed daily. Every write to a tracked field is recorded with the time we saw it and where we saw it.
Does subscribing change my listing, score or ranking?▾
No. The monitor is a copy of your own history, not influence. Your listing is described, scored and ranked identically whether you subscribe or not, and nobody on the editorial side can see who is subscribed.
Do I need to be listed first?▾
The Monitor reports changes to a listing, so the listing has to exist. If your tool is already in the catalogue it is $19/month.
