Where Adept earns attention is the combination of the agent premise and the tooling around it. Adept's bet is a multimodal model that reads the screen and acts, plus the Adept Workflow Language to compose those interactions into skills your team can reuse. If your operations team lives in a desktop client that has no API, that's the gap this fills. Pick Adept when the process genuinely spans both surfaces, when recorded macros keep breaking ahead of your rebuild cycle, and when you have people who can demonstrate a workflow rather than write it. The demonstration-based skill building is the part that shortens onboarding the most — a senior operator shows the sequence once, and it becomes something the team runs. Pass when you're solo, when the automation is a single web-to-web hop that a lighter orchestrator handles for less, or when the process is fixed and rarely changes.
