The extraction engine is Rossum Aurora, a proprietary transactional LLM the vendor says is trained on millions of transactional documents and supports 276 languages plus handwriting. Rossum pairs it with an ergonomic validation screen, so the human-in-the-loop step is a correction screen rather than a data-entry screen, and the platform learns from those corrections to raise automation rates over time. Business-tier customers also get an integrated intelligent mailbox that keeps vendor correspondence — notification emails, approval chases — attached to the document rather than scattered across Outlook. Where it fits best is the mid-market-to-enterprise AP function that measures itself on straight-through processing rate, and the shared service center running several ERPs across several countries. The e-invoicing coverage for Belgium, Poland and France matters if those mandates are on your 2026-2027 roadmap, and the customs use case — multilingual shipping documents, HS code computation — is a genuinely differentiated lane that invoice-only tools ignore. Where it doesn't fit: low-volume teams, non-transactional documents (contracts, HR forms), and buyers who want a plug-and-play tool with no master-data mapping or ERP configuration. The Starter tier at $18,000 per year with unlimited seats is priced for scale-ups automating data capture, not for a 2,000-invoice-a-year shop. Business, Enterprise and Ultimate are quote-based and scoped on page or document volume plus workflow complexity, so a real budget number requires a sales conversation — plan for that in your procurement timeline. The May 2026 Coupa acquisition is the thing to weigh now. It brings tighter procure-to-pay integration if you already run Coupa, and it raises the ordinary post-acquisition question about roadmap independence for everyone else. Rossum's certified SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle and QuickBooks integrations are all still documented on the pricing page, so the multi-ERP story remains intact as of this writing — but ask the roadmap question directly in your evaluation.
