The homepage frames it as "Siri meets Zapier" and that's close: you build assistants out of discrete actions, and those actions are things that touch your Mac — Apple Mail flags, Archive/Junk moves, Apple Reminders output, clipboard writes, notifications, and macOS Shortcuts with parameters passed from the AI. Because Shortcuts is itself a bridge to a huge range of macOS apps, the practical surface is wider than the native action list suggests. The email side is the standout. Filtering junk, flagging and coloring critical messages, and extracting tasks into Notion, Obsidian or Tana happens inside Apple Mail, fully on-device, with no login required. If you live in Apple Mail and your complaint is that triage eats your morning, this is the feature to evaluate first. The custom voice assistant builder is the second pillar. Assistants can draft emails, remember things you've said, discuss text on your screen, rewrite text, reply to messages, search the web, fetch web pages, open apps, run shortcuts, use MCP tools, branch with conditions and transcribe text. Branching matters: an Ask AI action can pick different downstream steps, which turns a list of actions into an actual decision flow. Provider flexibility is genuine rather than decorative: 13+ AI providers including Claude, GPT, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek and xAI, plus Ollama and LM Studio for fully local inference. You supply the keys, so you are choosing both your model and your privacy posture. The honest trade-offs: it's macOS-native, so Windows and Linux users are out. The local-model path and the advanced actions (MCP tools, conditional branching, x-callback-url triggers) assume you're comfortable wiring up keys and config. There's no shared workspace, collaboration or admin layer, so it's a personal-power-tool rather than a team product. And the value proposition only holds if you'll actually chain actions — if you want a hosted assistant you can open and type into without any setup, this is more plumbing than you need.
