AskMemo gives grounded answers with clickable sources, which is more trustworthy than generic AI chat. MemoCast is a unique feature for reviewing saved content on the go. Multi-model support (GPT-5, Claude 4.6, Gemini) lets you pick the best model for each task, and you can switch per memo. MCP integration means you can use MyMemo from Claude or other assistants, and the recent update added plan-aware tools for reading and creating memos. Weaknesses: The tool is not a collaboration hub — Team Space exists but is limited; there are no native integrations with Google Drive, Slack, or Notion, so you'll have to import content manually. The free tier is tight (50 AI chats, 10 uploads per month), and PDFs are capped at 25 MB even on paid plans, which could be a pain for large research documents. There's no offline mode or local-only storage, so you must trust the cloud. Where it fits: If you're a solo researcher, writer, student, or lifelong learner who consumes a lot of web content and wants to ask questions of your own library, MyMemo is a great fit. It's also excellent if you like the idea of a podcast digest of your saved content. Where it doesn't: If you need team collaboration, deep integrations with your existing stack, or offline access, look elsewhere. For those needs, consider Notion AI (if you're already in Notion), Mem (for a similar capture-and-chat experience), or Obsidian (for local-first). MyMemo's narrow focus is a strength for its target audience, but a limitation for broader teams.
