Fast-Track Review
A fast-track AI tool review costs $79 and buys exactly one thing: an editorial decision today instead of in 7–10 working days. If we reject your tool, the fee is refunded in full, automatically. It never buys your ranking, your score, or a single word of what we write about you — and a paid review leaves no visible trace on the listing, because nothing about it was sponsored.
When this is worth buying
Almost never — and we would rather say that here than have you find out afterwards.
The free lane gets you the same review, the same listing, and the same ongoing maintenance, and asks nothing of you at all. If your launch date is “whenever”, that is the correct choice and paying us is simply worse for you. We wrote a whole guide to submitting your tool that argues most founders should pay for very few listings anywhere, including ours.
There is one situation where $79 is obviously worth it: the date is fixed and the wait is expensive. You are launching on Product Hunt Thursday. Your funding announcement goes out Monday. A journalist asked where you are listed and wants to file tomorrow. In those cases a week-long queue is not an inconvenience, it is a missed window — and compressing it into a few hours for the price of a dinner is an easy trade.
What actually happens
You submit your tool as normal — name, link, what it does, who it is for. Once the submission exists, you choose a lane. Paying moves you to the front of the queue and sends an immediate alert to whoever is on review duty, which is what makes the same-day promise keepable rather than aspirational.
A human then reads your tool against the same bar every submission faces: does the tool exist and work, is the site real, is the description honest, is it something a buyer searching our catalogue would be glad to find. Nothing in that list is affected by whether you paid. If it passes, it goes into the same enrichment and quality pipeline as every other tool and appears publicly, usually within a day. If it fails, you get a real reason and your money back.
What the fee funds
A listing here is not a row in a database that goes stale the day after you submit it. Our pipelines re-scrape and re-verify pricing, features and status on a rolling schedule for as long as your tool is listed — dead links get caught, quiet price rises get updated, shutdowns get noticed. Every published tool in the catalogue has been re-verified within the last 30 days.
That maintenance is the expensive part of running this, and it is funded by the vendors who choose to pay for speed. It has never been funded by selling placement, which is the one revenue stream that would quietly destroy the thing being sold. You are not paying to be listed. You are paying for the speed of joining a catalogue that stays true.
The part we will not sell
“Paid and free are treated identically in all rankings and recommendations.”
Rankings, scores, viability verdicts, review outcomes, editorial copy, inclusion in “best of” lists, and followed links from our editorial content are not for sale at any price. We reject tools that have paid and approve tools that have not, and the day that stops being true is the day the catalogue stops being worth reading.
The guarantees, in plain terms
- Rejected = refunded in full, automatically. No request needed.
- Issued to your original payment method when the rejection is recorded — typically 5–7 business days depending on your bank.
- If we do not decide within 24 hours of payment, contact us and we refund in full while your submission continues in review.
- A paid review leaves zero visible trace on your listing — no badge, because nothing was sponsored.
The full terms are in our refund and cancellation policy, which says the same things at greater length and with fewer adjectives.
